Just like Gramps!

Usually when I put Calvin on the couch like this he gets upset and starts to cry, but this time we just sat there. He looked so relaxed and comfortable...just like his Gramps on the couch! All he needs now is a bag of potato chips and they'll be twins!

A visit from the Allens!

Last week my best friend Rachel and her husband Nate came to visit. Rachel and I were roommates freshman year and we used to hang out all the time after that, but last Christmas she moved to Arizona. I was so excited to see her and Nate after such a long time! Calvin was excited to meet her too! Every time she would talk to him or hold him he would smile and laugh! He LOVED her!

It took Rachel and I a while to convince Nate to hold him, but after about four minutes Nate was excited to have a new record of holding a baby before it started to cry! YAY! for Nate!

It was such a nice visit! There was a lot of eating out a staying up playing LEGO Star Wars! It was GREAT! Thanks Rachel and Nate for coming to visit!

Crafts with Rachel!

Rachel and I decided to make the best of our time and be "crafty". We always say how we want to be crafty and do all kinds of cute things, but we never end up doing anything. BUT...last week we finally did some crafts! YAY!

Rachel loves to make things for Calvin, so she found this cute pattern for a nursing cover...which I really needed. It works so much better than just a blanket!

We thought that it was so simple and that it would only take an hour or less, but it took us about three hours to finish! Calvin got tired of waiting...

We also tried to make these applique onesies...it might look good in the picture, but up close it is a total mess! Rachel and I were getting SO frustrated! We made a lot more than just this one...but lets just say that those didn't turn out as well!

Calvin doesn't seem to like our work anymore than we did!

Calvin usually likes his bouncy seat, but when my mom put these colorful rings on there...he went CRAZY!

For Aunt Laura!

We try new outfits on Calvin all the time! We put this cute night time outfit on him the other night! Aunt Laura gave it to us at the baby shower! I promise that he was happy while he was wearing it, despite this sad picture! He wears this almost every night! Thanks Laura!
