time

The other night when I was cleaning the toys out of the tub it hit me: Calvin is going to be 5. I realized how fast Calvin and Harry are growing up. For a while I just stood there in disbelief and feeling a little upset about how fast these past 5 years have gone by. But, then I remembered that for the nesx few weeks Calvin is still 4. I thought to myself, tomorrow they are still little. Nick and I are so blessed to have these sweet boys spend eternity with. We are so thankful that they choose to come live with us. And we are thankful that for now, they are still little.

My house has been neglected for the past two weeks, it's a mess. I'm so behind on laundry and ironing, the boys room is very disorganized, and the kitchen really needs to be mopped. I've been doing something much more fun than housework, I've been sewing! I love to sew. I don't do it as often as I'd like, but when I do, it occupies all my time!

I wanted a new dress for Emily's wedding this June and I immediately knew that I wanted one with a peplum skirt. How trendy of me! I know, but I love it! It reminds me of the cute shirts I had when I was younger. Unfortunately the trend now is also short and skimpy AND expensive. So, I found this pattern.

I got the pattern on sale for $1 and my Mom Albright took me to Joanns and bought me the fabric for my birthday!

It took me 2 weeks, it was hard and it's far from perfect, but it's done and I love it!

I love this picture.

The snow was so pretty a few weeks ago. It was snowing so much that it weighed down the bamboo trees and they were hanging in the back yard. 

I enjoy snow from the inside... unfortunately the boys wanted to enjoy it outside.

All I had to do was say "hot chocolate" and Calvin ran back to the house. Harry needed a little more convincing, but I think he was glad he choose hot chocolate over the snow in the end.

Harry loves the Capitals! He would wear this shirt everyday if I let him. He always looks for it in his dresser!

He also loves watching Killers music videos, he cries for them... seriously  He was crying for "Brandon" in sacrament a few weeks ago. Is is weird that I was more proud than embarrassed?
