Exploring

Instead of being lazy inside all day, which is our favorite thing to do, I decided that we needed to get outside. It was a really nice day, not too humid or hot. Calvin decided to go exploring for bugs.

 

The first thing he found was a mantis! I couldn' believe it! What a cool insect to find!

 

Some sort of beelte.

 

 In that middle water spot is a little white worm.

 

Then we found a bee!

 

Then we came home and made a book.

 

Calvin cute and pasted and drew pictures of what he found!

 

 

After running some errands we came home and found a baby turtle!

 

 

 

The boys were excited, but not too sure about touching him.

Cutthroat Calvin

Last Friday I went with Calvin to his last field trip, we went on a pirate ship!

It was so cool! Calvin's pirate name was Cutthroat Calvin. They gave him a vest and sash and he got a painted tattoo and mustache! He choose yellow for the mustache, so you couldn't really see it, but his tattoo was a shark.

It was so much fun. I rarely get to hang out with Calvin one on one anymore, so it was nice being just the two of us. I love my Sunshine.

New dress

I finished this dress just in time for Mother's Day. I love my boys!

I used this pattern. It was a lot easier than the last pattern, this dress only took me 3 days.

The "flounce" on the sleeve. I love it!

And I can't forget about the pockets. They are my favorite part!
