Letter for Santa

Calvin was very excited to write to Santa! He wrote each letter as I told him, but he is a pro at writing his name! We are so proud of him.

Mischief

Nick and I like to call Harry "Mischief". He is ALWAYS getting into trouble! On one particular day he colored on the wall... nothing a little magic eraser can't take care of.

We had to lower the mattress in Harry's crib because he tried to climb out. In the process of lowering it, we decided to just convert it to a toddler bed. This lasted for about 2 weeks then upgraded to a bunk bed. This little mischief boy sure is a great sleeper!

 

I had to take a picture for The Killers... Calvin wanted in on the action.

Laundy Room

I am obsessed with laundry. It's always the cleanest "room" in the house.

Cute little doors...

 

Inside... the water heater and stuff is to the left behind the doors. And my beautiful new stackable washer and dryer on the right.

 

I go through a lot of laundry detergent, A LOT! So, I found this recipe to make my own detergent on pinterest. Two months and still half full! 

 Outside... our giant yellow recycle bin.

 

This is what it always look like. I put up a shower rod so that I could air dry the boys clothes. I air dry 95% of their clothes. Yes, I am crazy.

Calvin insisted on having a peanut butter, jelly, mayonnaise, and mustard sandwich... how did it taste?

 

Fought a nap all day, but falls asleep helping dad make dinner.

Backyard and preschool

We recently had the brick walkway torn out and new grass put in the back yard. It was so green and pretty. It's getting colder now and the grass is looking less green, but I am pretending that it is still summer...

 Harry LOVES the sandbox. He could play out there all day if I let him.

 Calvin started preschool earlier this month. He was so excited to go to his first day! It was orientation so I got to go with him and see what his day is like.

 The preschool is two blocks from our house. It takes 8 minutes to walk there. I love it!

 I would have taken more pictures, but it is a co-op preschool so they were showing the parents what we will have to do on our working days there as well.

 Calvin's teacher asked him to help do the calendar! He got to put the apple on the calendar and use a stick to point to the day, the month, the date, and the year. He was so happy!

 He wanted a picture in front of his school.

 They ask that the kids use a tote bag so that it's easy for the working parents to open to take and put mail inside. So, I let Calvin bring his super cool Spider Man lunch box from Rachel. He was very happy!

We had a great day! He is a little less excited to go to school now, but once he is there he is fine and always has fun.

FHE

 

For family home evening a few weeks ago Nick taught the boys about Jesus calling the disciples to be fishers of men. Then the boys made fish!

 Then Calvin went behind the couch so that Harry could have a turn to fish.
