Bad News...Good News

BAD NEWS:
If you haven't heard Nick's computer died on us last week, and he was very upset. Luckily we have my laptop and it works just fine, but...EVERYTHING was on that computer! We had all of our pictures, music, and all of my school papers and assignments! The worst part is that Nick's camera has a memory stick that only fits into his computer, so I have a ton of pictures and no way to post them! Needless to say that neither of us were very happy about the situation.

GOOD NEWS:
Thankfully Nick's Dad had a 3 year warranty on his laptop, so we took it into Best Buy to get it looked at. Turns out that they were able to fix it without having to clean the hard drive! YAY! Nick can go pick it up on Monday and we will be backing all of our files onto my computer and I will put all of the pictures up!

Baby Shower

Here are the pictures!
Laura and Ashley did such a nice job with the decorations and the food! I loved the cute "It's a Boy" tags on the glasses and favors!

Here are the cute outfits that Beth gave me! She said that Rachel helped her pick them out, via telephone of course!

Ryley helped me open the presents and pose with them so that I wouldn't feel so silly!

A cute Lion towel and new outfits from Molly and Jenni!

A cute sleeper set and a REALLY soft blanket from Laura!

A teether and links from Ryley!

Family Willow Tree figure from Mom!

Here is the diaper bag from Dad, he said that it is really for Nick though!

Just one more...

I forgot that we finally ordered the baskets for the changing table. I also framed some left over squares from my quilt and the First Place award that Calvin's quilt won.

Birthday PICTURES!

So I finally got everything clean...and faster than I thought! So, here are all of the birthday pictures!

This was probably my favorite present! Nick got season one for me and then after seeing how excited I was he ordered the second season!

My Mom made these for me...they match the curtains that she helped me make last summer! I love that everything coordinates and matches now!

This is the rest of the present from my Mom. "The Giver" is my favorite book and this is a set of three of Lois Lowry's books. I haven't listened to the music yet, but I have looked through the pregnancy book and it is very helpful.

I was really excited about Rachel's presents too! We went to the mall around Christmas and she made me go to ALL of the maternity stores and look at all of the baby things! We laughed so hard when we found these "Pee-Pee TeePees"! She promised me that if I had a boy she would get me some! Also I don't want to have to carry around a heavy car seat every time I have to take Calvin anywhere, so Rachel knew that I wanted a baby sling! I love the one that she got me! It's even reversible!

I wish that I had pictures of the suprise box from Grandma Simmons, but it was all chocolate and Nick and I totally ate it all! She also sent me a really cute shirt and sweater and Nick a warm button-up shirt!
When Nick told me that he was taking on a shopping trip I knew exactly what I wanted to buy...a Sunday outfit for Calvin! However, I am just so picky and I don't even know how to shop for baby clothes, so after we went through about 3 stores I gave up! As we were walking out of Sears, Nick and I both stopped at a stand in the middle of the store and knew that Calvin had to have what was on it...a Peter Rabbit! It is so soft and it even came with a little book!

Birthday

I have been such a slacker with our blogging and I am sorry to say that I have no pictures right now, but I thought that I would try and catch everyone up and tell a little about my birthday (and to push down those awful pictures of me!)

I got so many nice things for my birthday and I really want to take pictures of everything before I tell everyone about them, but that would mean that I would have to clean! I have slowing been cleaning the house, but I just can't seem to keep up with all of my homework these past few weeks! The semester ends in just 4 weeks and although I am so excited to be one step closer to graduating, I just don't want it end yet. I have so much work to do between now and then. I have 2 major group assignments and 2 smaller ones, and I have 3 papers to write and the professor has given no deadline other then they must be turned in by the last day of class! I started on one project today and got a little done, so I am feeling fairly productive, but I don't know when I will feel like starting the rest!

As for my birthday, well actually Nick called it my birthday week, it was great! My Mom and Grandma Simmons sent me packages full of surprises earlier last week and I got an e-card from Aunt Debby! Then on Friday I got to open my presents from Nick and he took me on a little shopping trip that night. On Saturday I got a card from my Mom and my old neighbors from back home, the Claytons! And Sunday was just the icing on the cake when I did get cake! Ashley made a wonderful pot roast for everyone and chocolate cake! So, we ate cake and played games all night Sunday, it was the end to a perfect week (The Albright chocolate cake was probably my favorite part of last week)! But...my birthday didn't stop there...Monday I got a card from my Granny and today I got a package from my best friend Rachel!

I promise to share all of the presents before the end of this week, I just have to get the house clean! Maybe I can get it done tonight!

I want to say thank you to everyone for making last week so great. This is the first year that I was away from home and it was hard not being able to see everyone and eat peas and potpourri with my favorite meatloaf...but with all of the phone calls, cards, e-mails, presents, and chocolate cake I was able to have the best birthday ever! Thank you!!!

New Pictures!

So, I guess that it is time for new pictures. I asked Nick to take this last week and I was too embarrased to post them, but I guess that everyone wants to see them...I also put up a picture with Nick, so that you can see his haircut!
