I have been such a slacker with our blogging and I am sorry to say that I have no pictures right now, but I thought that I would try and catch everyone up and tell a little about my birthday (and to push down those awful pictures of me!)
I got so many nice things for my birthday and I really want to take pictures of everything before I tell everyone about them, but that would mean that I would have to clean! I have slowing been cleaning the house, but I just can't seem to keep up with all of my homework these past few weeks! The semester ends in just 4 weeks and although I am so excited to be one step closer to graduating, I just don't want it end yet. I have so much work to do between now and then. I have 2 major group assignments and 2 smaller ones, and I have 3 papers to write and the professor has given no deadline other then they must be turned in by the last day of class! I started on one project today and got a little done, so I am feeling fairly productive, but I don't know when I will feel like starting the rest!
As for my birthday, well actually Nick called it my birthday week, it was great! My Mom and Grandma Simmons sent me packages full of surprises earlier last week and I got an e-card from Aunt Debby! Then on Friday I got to open my presents from Nick and he took me on a little shopping trip that night. On Saturday I got a card from my Mom and my old neighbors from back home, the Claytons! And Sunday was just the icing on the cake when I did get cake! Ashley made a wonderful pot roast for everyone and chocolate cake! So, we ate cake and played games all night Sunday, it was the end to a perfect week (The Albright chocolate cake was probably my favorite part of last week)! But...my birthday didn't stop there...Monday I got a card from my Granny and today I got a package from my best friend Rachel!
I promise to share all of the presents before the end of this week, I just have to get the house clean! Maybe I can get it done tonight!
I want to say thank you to everyone for making last week so great. This is the first year that I was away from home and it was hard not being able to see everyone and eat peas and potpourri with my favorite meatloaf...but with all of the phone calls, cards, e-mails, presents, and chocolate cake I was able to have the best birthday ever! Thank you!!!
