Calvin is here and HOME!

Today we brought Calvin home, the Gould's decorated the house with a sign and lots of blue balloons! We are so excited to have him and it is really nice to be home.

Calvin decided he wanted to start coming on Memorial Day, Susan began having consistent contractions at about 12 o'clock noon and we waited until 4 o'clock to finally go to the hospital. It wasn't until 4 o'clock the next morning that he finally came. Susan did so good the whole time, she was determined not to have an epidural or any other drugs but when she was about 6cm she asked for some medication. They gave her something through her IV that made her start hallucinating, it was really funny she was talking about Mario kart saying things like, "you knocked me off the rainbow road". Her sister Anna and my sister Ashley were both there the whole time and we got a good laugh out of it. She lasted all the way up to 9cm but the pain was too much she finally gave in and asked for an epidural. She said she was crazy for ever wanting to do it with out any drugs. Next time she says shes getting it right when she walks in the door. She was such a good pusher it only took 20 minutes to get him out. He was born at 4:18AM on May 27th, he weighed 7 lbs. 3 oz. he was 20 1/2 in. long, his head was 14 in. and his chest was 13 in.

Book Tagged...

Since I have no other news, I might as well...Ashley tagged me and and I know what to do for a tag now, so here we go!

1. Pick up the nearest book
2. Open to page 123
3. Find the 5th sentence
4. Post the next 3 sentences
5. Tag 3 people and acknowledge who tagged you

The closest book is Nick's Philosophy book...

"He is not saying that the mind brings reality into existence out of nothing. But he is saying that the way in which reality appears to us (the only reality that we can know) depends on the contribution of both the senses and the intellect. The mind imposes its own form on the sense data, and through this activity we have objects to be known."

Pretty deep, huh? I wouldn't think to hard about it!

Since Ashley already tagged Mom and Laura I only have three people to tag! I need more friends!

I tag Rachel and Emily (Stacey's already done this tag, sorry Stacey don't mean to leave you out third friend!)

Ryley and Jackson

Ryley and Jackson came over to play today!

I love it when they come over because it gives me an excuse to watch Disney movies...I never get to watch them with Nick! Ryley brought up their new movie 101 Dalmatians, I was so excited because I hadn't seen for a long time! As soon as Ryley comes in she always asks for a specific blanket to sit on. I brought the blanket out and she made a little bed with the pillows and made Jackson lay down with her! It was so cute!

All of us got restless during the movie and I decided it was time for a treat. I gave Ryley and Jackson a cookie and I pulled out a little bag of Cheetos. When Jackson saw those Cheetos he decided that he didn't want his cookie anymore!

They are so cute! I love those babies so much!

DONE!

Well we have about a week until Calvin is supposed to be here, so we finally finished the his room!

We got one shelf up and as you can see we had some trouble getting the screws to stay in, so this is the one and ONLY shelf that we put up!

Without the other corner shelves we put the old bookcase from the living room in the corner. I think that it looks a lot better than a lone shelf any way!

My mom made the valance with the scraps from the crib bedding. I love it! It ties the whole room together! The quilt on the wall used to be in my room when I was younger, my mother made this one too!

All babies need a night light and a bouncy seat! I never posted any pictures of Calvin's cute bouncer! Thanks Ashley...she helped me pick it out and then she got it for us as a shower gift! Nick found this night light with a baseball cover and we have one with a football cover too!

I can already tell that Nick is going to spoil his little boy...he bought him this bear and the two pillows! They look so cute in the crib!

Now all we need is a baby! Hopefully our next post will have pictures of Calvin!

The Perfect Shoes

I need your help...

About 2 years ago I was shoe shopping with my friend Beth. I wasn't looking for anything in particular, just wanting some cute summer shoes. I don't think that we shopped for long until I found this really cute pair at Payless. I fell in love with this shoes - they were the perfect little white flats that matched everything. Well I wore them everywhere because they were so cute and so easy to put on and slip off and eventually I wore them out. After about 4 or 5 months they were no longer white and the soles were coming off. I went to the store to buy some more, but of course they didn't have them any more and I had to settle for some other pair.

The point of this story is that I loved those shoes and I still look for them, or something similar and I can never find anything! These were the perfect shoes!

This is the only picture that I have of them...not a very good one. If you ever run across anything that resembles these shoes I WANT THEM! They were white of course, and they had a kind of eyelet pattern on them...PLEASE HELP ME!
